In preparing our students to contribute meaningfully to society, the 足彩平台 Institute for Nonprofit Management Studies provides a forum for the promotion of nonprofit management studies at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater and within the larger community.
INPMS aim is to encourage research, expand educational opportunities, and grow technical assistance capacity to support the nonprofit sector in the region. The Institute focuses on relevant research, energized education, and community co-production to strengthen Wisconsin communities.
Celebrating 5 Years of The Institute for Nonprofit Management Studies
Welcome to the 2024-2025 academic year in the College of Business and Economics at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater! We are proud to announce that the Institute for Nonprofit Management Studies is in its 5th year of promoting nonprofit management education, supporting the Whitewater community through consulting and staffing, and conducting research to forward nonprofit development and sustainability. The nonprofit sector is the third largest workforce in America and nonprofits are the driving force for community engagement, positive change, and increasing equability and quality of life. An education in nonprofit management can prepare you for a fulfilling career serving the public and creating a better world.

The Nonprofit Management Student Experience
There are three Nonprofit Management programs available: a minor for students across the university, a minor for business students, and an emphasis on nonprofit management with the Management major. Each semester the INMS places several student interns in local nonprofit organizations, providing them with real-life opportunity to apply classroom training and the community with much-needed support. Students learn how to run a nonprofit business and manage challenging situations.
Eligibility criteria
Travel with us and experience nonprofits in the United Kingdom. This is our spring 2025 offering, and it is not available every semester.
The Institute for Nonprofit Management Studies is a resourece for students, professionals, and community members. Gifts to support our work might-fund student scholarships, help pay student internships, help students travel to support their research, fund specific research projects focused on aspects of nonprofit management.
Research
Our faculty research publications promote the Wisconsin Idea by addressing issues in nonprofit and social practice to improve society. We publish articles for scholarly audiences, book chapters for students and professionals, and articles and reports for professionals and the general public. Researchers have released a nationwide picture of COVID impacts. A total of 68 state level reports from 43 states covering over 21,000 nonprofit organizations have been compiled to provide a national level synthesis of COVID's impact on the nonprofit sector. The Helen Bader Institute (HBI), in collaboration with the Institute for Nonprofit Management Studies (INMS), conducted a series of surveys to assess the state of Wisconsin nonprofits after the onset of the coronavirus. Report One is available: The COVID-19 Effect on Wisconsin's Nonprofit Sector.
